Shaped by the Wind, 17 Mile Cypress

This painting of the cypress trees along 17 Mile Drive near Carmel was started during the Carmel Art Festival plein air competition in 2023. I blocked it in and got a great start but never had another sunny day during the event to finish it. I finished it in the studio leaving the water, foreground, and sky as I had seen it on site. I had some finessing to do on the trees to complete it.
