Singley Hill Barn

I started this painting on site in Loleta, CA (Humboldt County). I was going to see my favorite living painter, Jim McVicker who lives down the road from this scene. I had some time to kill and I could not resist painting the barn and road. The painting sat for a while in the studio because I just was not happy with it. It finally came to me that I needed to simplify some areas and give more detail to others.
